How To Understand Your Man

You know, we men are strange beings but I'm sure you already noticed that, otherwise you wouldn't be here.

We tend to keep our emotions inside us. We suffer in silence,

but that doesn't mean we don't love you.

On the contrary

we have the (outdated) mindset that we must protect you and the kids at all costs

and that would include not telling you about our feelings

because you then could think we're weak and not a real man...

Stupid isn't it?

But that's how we were brought up

It's not our fault

and we try, believe me we really do

but we have another problem.

We can't ask for help, because we also think that's a sign of weakness

So, we need your help.

Here's what you can do for your man:

Love him
You do that already otherwise you wouldn't be reading this
Don't try to change him, he will become even more silent
Try to listen to him even if you don't really understand what he tries to tell you
Perhaps he doesn't know yet either but he tries, believe me he does
Make him feel that you are simply there for him, with patience and all the love you can give

And then, if you want to talk to a man who went through the hell of addiction, lies, accidents, tears, fights and more drama

a man who loves his wife more than ever before

and that wife has finally the man she fell in love with

someone who might know what your man goes through
